Nick specialises in public and administrative law, competition and regulatory law.  He leads the nationwide public law and competition law practices.

Nick also advises on corporate governance and on commercial contracts, especially in the public sector.

Nick works for government departments, Crown entities, regulators, and other organisations in the general public sector, such as industry bodies. In the private sector, he works for companies, not-for-profit organisations and individuals on regulatory issues or who have to deal with the government or regulatory agencies.

Nick has a strong understanding of the public sector and the rules the government operates under, which  he uses to benefit both his public and private sector clients.

  • Advising clients on Commerce Act issues with mergers and acquisitions, including making clearance applications to the Commerce Commission.
