Struan is a commercial partner that specialises in financing and property. Struan advises on commercial sales, purchases and leasing as well as residential subdivisions and development. His diverse client base includes corporations, commercial property developers and private clients.
Struan’s banking and finance work involves acting for a number of lending institutions. He advises on a range of issues that arise in the finance sector including enforcement and regulatory compliance, including compliance with the Securities Act and Credit Contract and Consumer Finance Act.
Struan has also presented and written for the Auckland District and New Zealand Law Societies on property-related issues and mortgagee sales.
Recent Experience:
- Acting for a private lender with a $50 million dollar book on property lending transactions
- Acting for a finance company in establishing a nominee company and advising on Securities Act requirements
- Acting for a finance company in responding to a Commerce Commission investigation
- Acting for a hotel operator in a $47 million dollar refinance
