Aaron has extensive experience in employment law and industrial relations issues in Australia. He has provided strategic advice regarding the implementation of workplace change, advised on discipline issues, contractor issues and the enforcement of restraint of trade provisions.
Aaron has conducted workplace investigations involving allegations of discrimination, fraud and theft. He is an accomplished advocate, frequently appearing on behalf of clients in Courts, Industrial Tribunals and discrimination institutions in Australia.
Aaron has written numerous articles on Australian and New Zealand employment law and presented seminars and training sessions to clients on employment law issues. He is admitted as a legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of NSW and a barrister and solicitor in New Zealand.
- Acted for a large manufacturing client in relation to the successful negotiation of an enterprise agreement
- Worked with a large multinational corporation in relation to managing a large number of claims for goodwill payments
- Represented several employers in defending unfair dismissal and unlawful termination claims
- Advised several employers on cost cutting initiatives and other alternative strategies to implementing redundancies
- Acted for several employers in defending discrimination claims in the Federal Magistrates Court
- Advised several employers in relation to workplace policies and employee surveillance issues throughout Australia
- Presented seminars and CLE’s in relation to the Fair Work Act 2009
