Duncan Cotterill - Lawyers since 1857
Duncan Cotterill dates back to 1857, when Thomas Duncan first set up as a sole practitioner in the port of Lyttelton in the South Island of New Zealand. He brought with him a Scottish mandate of service & integrity. In 1879 Duncan was joined by Henry Cotterill, a distinguished scholar, who crafted an outstanding reputation in Canterbury during 64 years with the firm. Duncan Cotterill grew and prospered. The firm is intrinsically linked with the development of Christchurch as a city and Canterbury as a province. We have long been the largest firm in the South Island. Now in its third century of practice, Duncan Cotterill is committed to this path of expansion and being at the forefront of modern and progressive legal practices. |
