Red Cross Emergency and Hardship Grants

The NZ Red Cross 2011 Earthquake Commission is inviting people who have suffered as a result of the earthquake to apply for an emergency and hardship grant. Eligibility criteria are - at the time of application:

You have had to leave your home due to damage to your home, OR
You have had to leave your home due to lack of power, water or sewerage services, OR
You are living in your home but lack power, water or sewerage services.

To apply, you must complete an application form and provide some supporting information. Your application can then be emailed, posted, faxed or delivered to certain locations. Where an application is successful, the amount of the grant will be $500 for each single person and $1000 for each couple or family.
