Duncan Cotterill appoints new Chairman

Christchurch-based litigation specialist Richard Raymond has been appointed the new chairman of national and trans-Tasman law firm Duncan Cotterill.

Richard joined Duncan Cotterill in 1997 and became a partner in 1998. He previously worked in commercial litigation in Wellington and London, and was a senior crown counsel with the Crown Solicitor in Christchurch for several years.

For the past 10 years Richard’s practice has involved a significant volume of insurance related litigation as well as a large commercial litigation and dispute resolution practice. He acts for several of New Zealand’s major insurers, primarily in the defence of professional service providers, including engineers, architects, accountants, project managers, brokers and solicitors.

Duncan Cotterill has offices in Christchurch, Nelson, Wellington, Auckland and Sydney.
